28 Aug 09 Do you have to wear the clothes of the store you work at at work?

i have an interview for H&M this week and was wondering that if i get the job, are they going to expect me to wear their clothes at work? i dont have a problem about this if they do, but what if i wanted to wear something of my own..? i know i should ask the woman who interviews me, but i just want to know about this stuff before i look stupid asking her it.. haha. by the way this is my first job at a clothing store, if i get the job.

yes, or at least something that looks like it could come from there, you can’t show up there with a shirt that says “Old Navy” on it. But maybe you should ask the manager
some stores require you to but not all. you should ask someone or look it up somewhere.

I’m not sure about wearing their clothes or not.
HOWEVER, the people interviewing you will expect you to ask questions–it makes you look better than the applicants that don’t ask questions. This would be a good question to ask the interviewer–it means you are thinking about this job.
The job would just think that as long as you look presentable they will.
