I buy a lot (A LOT) of apparel in New York City and want to find great street clothes with a Forever 21 quality. But in between the book I’m writing, the biology and chemistry courses I’m reviewing, and the novels and personal finance books I’m reading, I feel like I’m going to be that triple chinned kid dressed in Victorian clothes with lots of brain power, but no life.
I would happily join clubs, but my town is very small and doesn’t offer things like that.

No male clothes — except a few specialized garments like some wetsuits — have back fastenings.

But lots of women’s clothes do: skirts, dresses, swimsuits, bra’s. I even have pants that zip at the back and a shirt that buttons in back.

Why this difference?

Why put fastenings at the back at all, since that makes them much more awkward to reach?

And if women have to deal with back fastenings, why not men?
P.S. This isn’t a complaint — just curiosity about how the current situation arose.
