I’m contemplating opening a women’s clothing boutique but I’m not sure where I should go to obtain the clothes and accessories. Should I buy from a wholesaler in a garment district such as the one in New York, or do I have to make overseas contacts where they are manufactured? I don’t know if this is ever done on consignment. How much money is a realistic amount for starting up a small boutique?
